Biography
I am a passionate entrepreneur and advocate for mental health, with a commitment to empowering others and creating positive change. My career journey has blended creativity, leadership, and community impact.
For over three years, I owned and operated Buttercup Celebrations, a wedding planning and design company that helped couples create meaningful and personalized wedding experiences. This business allowed me to combine my organizational expertise with a deep appreciation for storytelling and design.
I spent a decade leading DBSA Central Illinois, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting individuals and families impacted by mood disorders. Through peer support groups and community education, I helped hundreds of people find hope and connection. I also collaborated with law enforcement to train crisis officers, ensuring that mental health needs were addressed with care and understanding.
Now, as the founder of Florempower, I am focused on providing self-care tools and resources for women navigating the challenges of depression and anxiety. Florempower’s mission is to empower women to prioritize their well-being, incorporating self-care into their busy lives with accessible, thoughtful products and education.
In addition, I am proud to serve on the board of Women Entrepreneurs of Central Illinois, where I contribute to communications, programming, and strategic planning to support and elevate women in business.
Driven by empathy and a desire to make a difference, I am dedicated to fostering community and creating solutions that empower and inspire. Let’s connect to share ideas, collaborate, or explore opportunities to support women and mental health advocacy.
